Well he's home! because it was an hour and a half drive to see him they let us bring him straight back which was a shock as we hadn't got anything ready for a dog! So a quick trip to Jollys on the way back and then home.
Not a murmur last night and clean this morning-he's met some of the local dogs and was really friendly towards them.
He loves a fuss but is the strangest looking dog I've EVER seen! i can only describe him as a cross between a huskie and a corgi!

We're in that weird time now when we are all getting to know each other-we know he can sit but think he's a bit deaf and blind in one eye.
He certainly needs to shed a few pounds and learn some lead discipline!

Hi Julie,

So happy for you, he looks a real sweetie, very like a friend of mines dog, he was a rescue pet too. They are so loving when given a second chance. We have Susie a black cat, she is an indoor cat and just like a teddy. Absolutely loves cuddles and adores my husband. She took time to come around but has been with us for around 4 years now. Enjoy your new pet he will bring lots of joy.

Happy New Year

Thank you again! So far he's not been a minutes trouble although i know that they can go through a honeymoon period before their full character emerges!
we took him for vaccinations last night and he is going to be neutered as one testicle is larger than the other and needs looking at--I hope THIS one is nothing sinister.
He has cataracts in both eyes which we already knew and he is a bit deaf! He played with a ball for the first time yesterday and spends most of his time snoozing on one of our laps which suits us fine!
Bath time for him today-don't know what will happen!

Oh Julie, I feel quite touched at your generosity of giving a new home to this adorable fella. He is one very lucky dog to have you two to care for him and provide everything he needs. It certainly sounds as though Jack has already settled into his surroundings. Hope the neutering goes well and nothing untoward is found.

Lovely picture! Love

I THINK he may be settling in! (as he hasn't been neutered yet I 've done some strategic alterations just in case you're eating!) RollEyes
